Summary

This project examines information security practices within protest camps through ethnographic fieldwork conducted in different European contexts between 2023 and 2025. It shows how these temporary activist communities develop security cultures shaped by social relationships, consensus-based decision-making and differing perceptions of adversaries, offering new insights into how activists balance security, trust and effective movement building.
